| End of the Year Event 2008
This year's event was celebrated at the California Endowment on May 9th, 2008. The theme was "Celebrating Diversity". Foundation staff had the option to wear their cultural attire to the event. The event started with a wonderful assortment of delectibles as staff enjoyed the continental breakfast that was provided followed by the Welcoming from our Training Coordinator Margie Guerroro-Romasanta. Staff given an Agency update from the Director Jaleh Hadian. The keynote for this year was Warren R. Harris who spoke about Head Start and his Head Start experience. Foundation employees had the opportunity to evaluate the Director and their Supervisors after Mr. Harris speech. A raffle of gift cards and prizes put a smile on the faces of the winners in between the program agenda. Just before the session break for lunch, a cultural fashion show was presented as staff displayed their cultural attires across the main stage. A buffet style lunch was provided. A Mariachi Band played their beautiful music in the courtyard while staff enjoy their lunch. Foundation staff danced to the music as the Mariachi play on. After staff enjoyed their lunch and dancing, a Union Presentation was addressed by Maria Niera. More raffle of prizes helped sparked up the afternoon. The raffle was followed by the Services Award Recognitions and staff performances. We would like to thank all staff who participated in making this event a great success! A special "Thank You" to our Training Coordinator, Margie Guerrero-Romasanta for making this event possible!!!
