Foundation would like to welcome back all our staff to a brand new year with new and exciting updates. This year's Welcome Back Orientation was held at STEVENS Steak and Seafood House in the City of Commerce on September 4, 2007. Updates and training were conducted by Executive Director, Jaleh Hadian and other Service Areas Coordinators. Staff were introduced to the new restructuring changes in the Agency. The restructuring combine both Health and Social Services Areas into one. The positions of Health Aide and Family Service Worker are now combined. This new position is now called Family Service Associate (FSA). The FSAs are now equipped with laptops where there are able to access information about the family on site to better services the children and families in our programs. Also FSAs are now working more days at the sites and be more accessible to parents to answer their questions.

Other updates included COLA, One Time Funding, and New Building for Echo Park HS. At the End of the Year Event on April 27, 2007, the COLA was announce to be projected at 1.5% increase for this year. This year's actual COLA increase was 5.3%!!! The One Time Funding gave the Agency the opportunity to purchase 3 new Nutrition Vans, 2 Maintenance Trucks, and repair and maintenance to many of our sites and the Administration Office. Our Echo Park HS location was demolished at the end of the last program year is now rebuilt. The new Echo Park HS location will be open on October 15th, 2007.
